The New Dealership - Every car has a story, yours begins here

On most FiveM servers, buying a car is one menu and one lump sum. The money leaves your account, the vehicle appears in your garage, and nothing about it ever matters again.

rcore_dealership replaces that with an actual car trade. Players walk a showroom, spec the car before they pay for it, take it out for a test drive, and then decide how to cover it - cash, a trade-in, or twelve weeks of installments. On the other side of the desk sits another player: the owner of the dealership, stocking the lot, filling orders, paying employees, and sending a tow truck after anyone who stops paying.

The Showroom

The store opens with 880+ vehicles already in it - photographed, categorized, and priced by class, performance, and vehicle type. No spreadsheet to fill in before launch.

Players filter by class, manufacturer, or the custom tags you define, compare real handling stats in km/h or mph, and configure the car live before committing to it: bodywork, wheels, the full color palette, RGB paint, and a custom plate that's checked against the database as they type it. Each option carries its own price - a flat fee, a percentage of the car's value, or both - so a loaded spec costs what a loaded spec should. Don't want tuning in your economy? One toggle removes the entire tab.

Test drives run on a timer with a return zone, a grace period, and consequences: come back late too many times and the dealership stops handing you keys.

The Money

This is where a dealership stops being a vending machine.

Cash or bank - the player picks at confirmation, and the server validates it.

Financing - a down payment up front, then weekly installments over a 3-12 week term with interest on the financed amount. Miss one and a late penalty lands on the balance. Miss three and the deal is over.

Trade-in - put the car you already own against the one you want. Depreciation is configurable, and you decide whether surplus value gets paid out or written off.

Every installment, penalty, and payout moves real money between a real player and a real business account. Nothing is simulated.

When the Payments Stop

Defaulted vehicles don't quietly disappear from the database. They turn into work.

The dealership's employees get a repossession contract and a tow truck, and they go collect. If nobody is on shift, the contract goes public - any player on the server can find that car, drive it back to the lot, and collect the reward. Walk away mid-mission and the car still gets repossessed; you just don't get paid for it.

It's the part of the vehicle economy most servers skip, and it's the part that makes financing mean something.

Running the Business

Hand a dealership to a player and it becomes a company they operate from an in-game tablet.

  • Employees & permissions - hire, fire, and assign twelve granular permissions: stock, test drives, exhibitions, order deliveries, repo missions, upgrades, the balance, the audit log
  • Audit log - every purchase, order, delivery, deposit, withdrawal, and finance event, timestamped and attributed
  • Stock runs - employees drive to supplier pickup points and bring vehicles back. Damage them on the way and the company eats a fine
  • NPC orders - AI customers place orders around the clock, so the lot earns even when the owner is offline
  • Exhibitions - park your best stock in the showroom for players to walk up to and inspect
  • Employee of the month - a ranking that turns your staff into a sales floor

Six upgrades across Logistics, Marketing, and Protection scale the operation: flatbed Bulk Delivery for multi-car runs, Priority Supplier for shorter routes, Billboard Ads that pull wealthier NPC buyers toward premium models, an Insurance Policy that softens damage fines, Showroom Expansion for more exhibition slots, and a three-tier Company Vehicle for the crew.

Building Your Dealerships

Everything is created in-game. The admin tablet runs a full wizard: place the lot, draw every zone with the visual editor, set interaction points and NPCs, configure the blip, choose which vehicle types the dealership sells - ground, water, or air - and manage the vehicle list and pricing from the same screen.

Built-in photo mode captures cinematic showcase shots of any vehicle and pushes them straight into the catalog, so your custom cars look exactly like the base ones. Need to rebalance the whole economy? A global multiplier plus per-class and per-type overrides re-price the entire catalog with one command.

No config file edits. No server restarts. New dealerships go live while players are on the server.

Frameworks & Performance

Setup auto-detects everything on start - your framework, your database resource, your targeting system, your society banking.

ESX - jobs, bank transfers, society accounts, notifications. Employees live in your existing job framework.

QBCore - money and bank management, jobs, gangs, notifications, society funds.

QBox - native money and banking, job management, notifications, full ecosystem compatibility.

Targeting runs on ox_target, qb-target, or qtarget - and falls back to markers or 3D text if you use none of them. Exhibition vehicles stream in and out by distance, interaction points are culled before they cost a frame, and every transaction is validated server-side, whether you run one dealership or a dozen across the map.

Who It's For

  • New servers - launch day one with a priced catalog and a working car economy
  • ESX & QBCore servers - retire the old vehicle shop for something players actually engage with
  • Economy-focused servers - debt, interest, depreciation, and repossession as real mechanics
  • Business roleplay servers - dealerships as player-run companies with staff and books
  • Established communities - give an old, solved system consequences again
  • Car-heavy roleplay - configurator, test drives, showroom exhibitions, custom categories
